Comments Thread For: Mikkel Kessler's Future in Boxing is Still Uncertain

Promoter Kalle Sauerland met with the "Viking Warrior" Mikkel Kessler (46-3, 35KOs) on Saturday morning and had a chat. As of this moment, there is no decision made with respect Kessler's future but Sauerland said "he won't fight anytime soon" - a big part in this is of course the fact that Mikkel will become a father for the first time in December.

He's had a good career and if he has saved his money then there is no point in coming back.

Kessler wants to preserve his record, don't want so many losses

once they start talking that family stuff its over for a while.
down the road when he finds out how expensive family life is then he'll be back fighting local cab drivers and pizza delivery boys.
        thatsa usually how it goes.

Mikkel Kessler has had a great career, still think that he was 1 of the best super middleweight boxers if it wasn't for that fight against Calzaghe that made him break his own spirit and never became the same again.

Kessler should fight Froch one more time then retire.

One more against Froch, and it's a wrap, best danish boxer of all time and one of the biggest gentlemen I've ever seen.

He is a boss. He should grab a belt from Bika/Direll then retire. Or a Froch rematch.
I would like one more good performance from him, he looked great vs Froch in the rematch even if he lost

Targeting the Abraham vs Stieglitz 3 WBO world title winner would be a perfect way to go out on a ****. **** the Froch rematch, he has a chance of losing that fight by knockout look at the 12th round he was a dead man walking and i don't know how he got out of it.
