Ward's newfound power

Where was it? It's in the same place where Matthysse left his power against Danny Garcia. Same place where Foreman left his power against Ali and Young.Comment

I don't see how it why it matters whether or not Andre has punching power. He wins his fights and does so comfortably. Obviously he isn't a phenom where he puts you to sleep with one or two shots, but he hits harf enough to back fighters up and keep their attention. If the argument is that he doesn't have knockout power, I think we should have come to that conclusion long before now. But, on the other hand if the question is his skills, they've placed some prominent names on his resume thus far, regardless of whether it entertained you enough or not.Comment

It's impossible to turn a solid puncher into a power puncher. Ward probably hits harder today though but he will still never be known for his power. Rodriguez has a very good chin and I think some of those clean shots he took would've hurt and dropped many other boxers.Comment

I didn't notice that, but a lot of people are saying HBO hyped his power...
Well, Edwin is Latino, and those guys tend to have really good chins...
And Ward was snapping his head back... I mean, even Bradley wobbled Marquez on more than one occasion, so its not unlikely Edwin was able to take the punches MAINLY becuz of his chin...
And no... He's not a puncher... Never was, so lets not pretend anyone actually expected him to beComment
