Back for the first time since last December's big knockout loss to Nonito Donaire, former four division world champion Jorge “Travieso” Arce (61-7-2, 46 KOs) started his campaign in the featherweight division with an eight round knockout over late replacement Jose Carmona (22-4, 12 KOs) at the Domo de San Luis Potosí in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Carmona tried hard, but Arce stepped on the gas as the fight played out and then put his punches together to put Carmona away in the eight.

Arce is still the spirited buzzsaw that he always was and that is impressive! The way he fights, he does not look washed up at all. He still has the fire, that is for sure.

Arce needs to retire before he gets hurt

Retire now before you get hurt. Arce is to small for featherweight. He is getting older.

              Well

I saw Arce hurt a couple of times. In one round he spit out his mouthpiece to buy some time.
