Rios speaks like a damn drunk. He doesn't sound too smart. And he swears way too much. Pac could give this guy some serious brain damage.

It's because his defense has consisted of, and will continue to consist of, blocking every punch thrown at him with his head. His speech is slurred and he's still in his twenties

Rios has always sounded like that, it's gonna be worse after the Pac fight, unless Manny's chin is shot and he gets knocked out after 1 hard punch.

Pacquiao sounds smarter than Rios does when he speaks English and that says a lot. He can't put two sentences together and sound smarter than a 6 year old. And then automatically he had to curse.

He made fun of Freddie Roach but he sounds like an idiot.

It has more to do with sparring. People forget that sparring while cutting weight is where most of the slurry damage comes from.

Rios spars year round just like James Toney, both guys slur. toney is a slick boxer but he thought roadwork was useless so his later career consisted of daily sparring sometimes even going 10 rounds a day, now listen to him dude sounds like marbles in his mouth.

Guys like Marquez who have been in brutal fights don't slur because they don't spar year round, they only spar in training camp for a few weeks before a fight, constant punches to a head even with head gear is enough to swell the brain, it only protects you from being cut your brain is still rocking inside from punches.

Terry Norris is another guy who slurs or has that heavy tongue and he used to spar 5 days a week even when there wasn't a fight lined up he sparred year round as well.

Rios is incredibly thick, I noticed this within say 30 seconds of watching there 24/7 program.

His style suits his intelligence, but its what also makes him an entertaining fighter. I do expect manny to outbox him and stop him.

I think its less to do with his slurring, but more of the way he talks he talks like a guy who has a limited vocabulary that only consists of F you, ****er, mu****er, b1tch, and any other cussword. He also talks a lot of weird stuff about sex and ******n on 24/7 wtf? lol. Cringeworthy when he talks especially when he said he watched his parents boning for 5 minutes and was amazed that his pops could still get it on.
