I thought Canelo deserved to win a close fight with Trout. Trout is a good fighter and I think he will beat Lara who is also a good fighter. I think GGG is something special and about the best fighter around today. I favor GGG to knock out anybody from 154 to 168. I think GGG knocks Trout out in 9 rounds or less. GGG took 9 rounds to KO the last guy he fought but that guy was a dangerous puncher so he was careful. Trout does not have the power to hurt him so he might get Trout real early but Trout's boxing skill might keep him around for a while.

the bold just isn't true, as most of the legit writers in the sport had canelo ahead. and though i cannot quantify the entirety of the fan perception, it appeared very clear to me that most unbiased fans thought alvarez landed the more effective punches. he hurt trout, he moved his head relatively well to negate trout's workrate. that jab just wasn't that effective. it certainly wasn't effective enough to call the fight a robbery.

you've got to realize that a vast majority of "fans" didn't care for alvarez at the time, and that they're not a good barometer. the people crying "robbery" are always the loudest and most prolific. it's amazing how slanted the opinions of fights on bscene can get. these things take on a life of their own. people end up with biases against a fighter because of what their fanbase does. it gets ridiculous.

even if the fight was "50/50," that is not a robbery. a close fight is not a robbery. it's impossible to dispute a decision in a close fight. you cna have beef with a wide card, but not when a winner gets picked and it's not your guy.

alvarez beat austin trout fair and square. even trout recognized who won the fight.

Nah, Trout doesn't have a chin at all. Vanes even dropped him in the amateurs. It'd be a quick stoppage.

I don't think it was a robbery at all, but it clearly split people down the middle. It was not clear at all, and considering the joke it became after the 8 round scores were announced, it didn't prove much either way.

19 is only just a bit over 80% of 23. i also see two 116-111 trout scores (including bscene's cliff rold, who isn't the best at scoring fights, and watches from home) which are complete jokes. trout was dropped, after all, and seriously hurt. that's a 10-8 round. there are some 116-111 canelo scores as well, but as i pointed out, trout was dropped, and a 10-8 round in a 12 round fight is a big deal.

also, reporters are far from perfect. i used to get media credentials from about '08 to '10. montoya was served cease and desist letters from goldenboy's lawyers, for example.

GGG would win but not by total destruction. This is getting like Matthysse with the fantasy fights when people had him walking through everybody in the history of boxing from 140-154.

Trout is a B/B- fighter that would put up a good fight against anybody.

Lol... going against the grain just cos you don't like the hype. Trout is a 154 lbs fighter with little power and no chin.

Lara has too much speed and he rolls punches nice. GGG is nice at brawling but when Stevens and Rosado moved a littlebit it was like GGG was staring directly at the sun. He didn't know what to do where to swing or where the punches were coming from. Lara would win
