Prime Lewis beats anyone in any era. But prime Tyson would be in with a shot at beating a lot of great fighters too because of his speed, power, body movement.

I would say 9 times out of 10 prime Lewis beats Tyson, but there might be that one fight in ten where a prime Tyson lands a bomb and changes the fight.

          Its really a 50/50 fight
yea,,,,very tough one to call. I believe there was a thread and poll with this not too long ago so its kinda like beating a dead horse. I slightly favor Tyson by early kayo,,,but lewis would have a great chance if he could hang in there for the first 5 rounds. I don't think many people realize just how special Tyson was when he was under kevin rooney early in his career. he was awesome both offensively and defensively. awesome fighting machine. would have been some fight

But it's true that tyson matured a lot earlier than Lewis. Whereas Tyson was shot when he was in his early 30's that's really when Lewis took to his prime.

Shame, but Tyson had his chance in 96 and decided not to take it.
yea,,,people have to be careful with taking age in determining primes. guys like bowe and Tyson matured early and also faded earlier whereas guys like the klits and lewis took longer to mature and had much more longevity,,,in large part to a healthier lifestyle. age isn't everything

50/50 fight regardless of what either fighter's respective nuthuggers claim. Both smoke the Klits like a cheap Cuban* though :cool9:
