    Patrick Nielsen wins by KO

#4 WBA, #6 IBF and #3 WBO rated middleweight Patrick Nielsen won his fight tonight against Pinzon in the 5 round by KO.

It ended after Nielsen caught him with a swinging left right to Pinzon's jaw. The ending was a bit premature I thought.

He's been talked of as a potential title challenger next year and that's just disturbing. He had a lot of problems against a mid-level mexican who was swinging like an amateur and was extremely slow.

The thought of him fighting Golovkin chills me.

Hahaha, been saying that in every Nielsen/Pinzon thread... dude was getting KO'd. He might start strong, but he folds in the end

And he did start strong. He caught Patrick with a couple of nasty chincheckers.

The end was swift and sudden. A hard left hook put Pinzon down. He rose quickly but was very hurt and on unsteady legs even though the ref gave him plenty of time to recover.

I think it's way too soon to be talking about a title fight.

They should go the EBU route before anything else. I mean he's not fighting anyone who even resembles world class and they want him to fight barker, sturm, geale, quillin or the likes in 2014? Idiotic.

There's likely to be an elimination before an eventual titleshot. That sounds to me like the way to go.
