Briggs to fight Tua on april 1st

I dont think Tua sucks.

I think he was a very decent heavyweight who came up short in his big fights.....and recieved unjust due for a bad performance against a mediocre opponent in Rahman.

Lets keep in mind he lost his big fights to guys who used their superior boxing skill to their advantage, and tua is only 5'9.

Tuaman was the Man!

But what made him the man was the fact that he could maintain such a rediculously good workrate for 12 rounds even while throwing bombs.


He is too old for that now. It's not his fault, but he is like Tyson, they might get lucky in the first couple rounds but after that the gas tank is empty.


Sam Peter is the new Tua, although he couldn't come close to a Tuaman in his prime.

I am a considerable Tua fan, much more than Briggs definitely. I'd pick Tua by KO, if Tua loses this fight it is just a really bad loss on his record. The sad thing is that the winner of this fight may be in the title picture in the Heavyweight division. Whenever this is nothing more than a crossroads fight between 2 former contenders.

yeah that would be a compelling fight because Tua could land a huge bomb at any time.

But I dont think it would be close. I think Wlad is way too big, strong, fast, skilled etc for Tua to handle.

I think Wlad would actually stop him in the mid rounds.
