If you ain't hated by anyone means you just ain't successful enough never gonna be any fighter liked by everyone.

It was Bob Arum he downed. The way it was worded to media was misleading was the main reason, also it was tax deductible. I commend him giving, but the way it was worded made the whole thing laughable.

I'd invite any disease infested Rodent that is accusing me of making fun of Margarito's orbital bone injury, to show proof, like a link to a post where this event took place. If not, then shut your 4XL T-shirt wearing fat ass up. You are below me, peasant.

            I think it's Miguel Cotto.

Honestly, is there anybody around who calls themselves a Cotto hater? Maybe some really die-hard Margarito fans? He did great against Mayweather (way better than anybody expected him to) and lost to a good fighter in Trout. I think everyone by now has the measure of Cotto, everyone knows more or less what level he is (a B+/A- fighter), his low-key personality is very professional and focused on the sport, and he's remained consistent in a way that very few fighters have. His fans aren't obnoxious, and since nobody is calling him The Best In The World you also don't have people hating on him just because he has vocal fans.

I think Miguel Cotto is the most liked active fighter in boxing by a mile. I can't think of anyone else that comes close to the respect he's earned in the sport.

I don't think anyone dislikes pacquiao as a man or as a fighter. He's a class act in and out the ring. Some of his hardcore fans however..

How did this go from a thread about universally respected boxers to bashing people's ethnicity/race and dogfights/laughing at life changing injuries?

Anyway, I would probably vote on Ponce de Leon.. Never really seen a PDL hater.

glen johnson is probably up there. fought everybody, crowd pleasing style, genuine gentleman.

carl froch, a bit arrogant, but i call it swag. he's usually respectful.

mikkel kessler. bonafide gent. probably neck deep in gorgeous danish women when he's not training.

i would say andre ward, but he's hated by west coast media for being an ******* to them, and he acts smug pretty frequently.

wladimir if he weren't so boring / clinchko.

guillermo rigondeaux gets called "boring" by some, and his style is the reason for that. if you appreciate great boxers you have to respect him, because he's top 3 on the planet in pure boxing acumen.

                      Hopkins.

No one hates him. Not all are fans, but seldom to I see anti BHop hate.
