Comments Thread For: Esquiva Falcao, Olympic Medal Winner, Goes Top Rank

LAS VEGAS, NEV -- Top Rank announced today it signed yet another blue chip 2012 Olympian -- 2012 Olympic silver medalist ESQUIVA FALCÄO of Brazil. He will make his professional debut in early 2014.

Falcäo, 23, advanced to the Olympic finals as a middleweight, mowing down top international competition before losing to gold medalist Ryota Murata (also a Top Rank fighter) of Japan. It was the first time a Brazilian boxer ever reached an Olympic final.

Top Rank are building a very impressive roster with all these 2012 Olympians coming on board. Between them and GBP they definitely look like having the better future.

Of all the London 2012 Amateurs, besides Lomanchenko, I was waiting for this guy to turn pro! Only 22, good technique and he hits like a truck!

Interesting to see how he will develop alongside Anthony Ogogo and Ryota Murata the other middles from London!

Top Rank is making news with all these Olympic guys, but whatever happened to the US team Golden Boy signed up? They had their big Olympic Night card and from then on I haven't heard boo about any of them.

Looks like we will see Falcao vs Murata in the future. It's funny his brother signed with golden boy. The Cold War is dividing families now.
