    Garcia Vs. Donaire.

P4P, is Mikey Garcia a better fighter than Donaire? If they fought, who would win and how? Has Donaire been overrated, or is he just struggling in the higher weight classes? Many think he had a big size advantage in the lower weight classes, which he dominated. Mikey Garcia has been looking pretty impressive in his last couple of fights, against fairly good opposition, too. Although, some criticize his style as "too patient." So, how far will these two fighters go in their careers. How many divisions will each be champion in, and at what weight does each peak at?

Right now thse two fighters appear to be going in different directions but from what I saw in the Darch fight is that Donaire still has his toughness. I think if he can refocus he can return to top form. A move to 130 this soon is probably not the best thing.

I think Mikey takes it. Besides being at least as good, he's bigger. You know the old saying: "A good big man will always beat a good small man."

If they were in the same weight class, I'd actually favor Donaire.

Mikey is too big. Donaire loss a lot of confidence against rungondo

Mikey is naturally a weight class bigger than Donaire. Plus, at this stage, Mikey's skills are improving while Donaire seems to be on the decline or at best, he has peaked.

                  on what grounds?

I just don't see it. Mikey seems way smarter, while Nonito just waits to deliver the left hook that may never arrive. Rigo proved that if you fight smart, it won't land, which his why Vic was highly effective and easily avoided it until he got, well, all Vic in there.

Mikey, on the other hand, takes his opponents style and turns it against them.

Mikey is, simply put, more skilled and smarter.

You guys make good points. I think Donaire, is struggling in higher weight classes, since he is not used to fighting guys his size. He always had a size advantage in the lower weight classes, now he doesn't. The Rigondeaux fight took a lot out of him, physically and psychologically. The orbital injury is something very serious to consider.
