A fire that gutted a cafe owned by boxer Anthony Mundine is being treated as su****ious.

NSW Fire and Rescue Inspector Ian Krimmer said firefighters were called to the Boxa Bar in Hurstville around 3am on Thursday.

Crews were able to extinguish the blaze but the contents were destroyed, he said.

Police have confirmed an investigation is underway.

The fire came before Mundine's hotly anticipated fight with Shane Mosley on November 27.

Wow...damn they tried to get blood from a stone apparently. What if he was on the hook for what the promoters spent and didn't recoup? Really hope he wasn't directly involved...a situation gone from bad to worse.

There are two suspect,one is garth wood because he had to re schedule his fight against murray because of mundine and the other suspect is jeff fenech,he lost 300k because of Mundine lol..I don't think it was them but one of those two paid someone to do it and after listening to Mundines interview he was pointing at garth wood.

Well Mudine likes to run his mouth so im not all that suprised. Hes pretty annoying he gets beat and knocked out against scrubs and still talks and talks and talks...
