As exciting, as celebrated and as worshiped Erik Morales is, one has to finailly claim, the joke is on morales!
He wasn't supposed to lose to Barrera the second time. Barrera, as we all too well remember was shot, yesterday's news, reflections of poor Holyfield as he was fed to Tyson as an easy fight back in 1996. Barrera was doen and Morales was gonna finish him. unfortunately barrera put on a master class, turning back the clock and fought as good as he has ever fought and beat Morales conclusively.
Then came the manny pac fight and Morales won. Although wounded from the beating Barrera had given him, Morales could claim some gratification from that win.
Then he fought Raheem, My God was Morales awful.
Then he gave Pac a rematch, My God was Morales awful!
Morales has now an equal amount of loses than Barrera. Barrera has more wins, more titles under his belt, more prospects at the minute and from recent form, maybe more miles on the clock.
Classic example of Mobby **** being chased by Captain Ahab.
Morales, a bitter and angry young man for most of his career has now hit rock bottom. A third Pac contest might bring him victory but how long can be go on with the amount of wars he endures?
Barrera may outlast morales, despite the age difference.
Unfortunately, in years to come all will be laughing along with the joke, the joke that is on morales!
