DYAH DAVIS is aiming to use James DeGale as a stepping stone in his bid to get back into the world title mix. The American meets WBC silver super-middleweight belt holder DeGale at Bluewater in Kent on Saturday.

Although 2008 Olympic gold medallist �DeGale, 27, is a firm favorite, Davis is �certain he can cause a surprise.

The 32-year-old lost in the final round against WBC champion Sakio Bika last year. Now the son of 1976 Olympic champ Howard Davis Jr wants another shot.
