The idea behind raising the level of competition as well as expectations is that it’s supposed to get a lot harder than has been the case for Mikey Garcia.

Perhaps it’s just because the rising young star recognizes those challenges that he continues to overcome them with relative ease. The latest example came last weekend, when the former featherweight titlist became a two-division beltholder after effortlessly turning back the challenge of Roman ‘Rocky’ Martinez. I like Mikey but to be honest I don't think that he has fought anyone that is at his level yet. Maybe he can fight all the belt holders at 130lbs. Then we can really see what he is really made of. May I suggest Argenis Mendez?

War Mikey! There's a lot of good fights that can be made from 126-130

I don't think he is going back to 126 after what he went through and couldn't make weight.....so, forget it.

I mean just the division in general, not necessarily Mikey fighting at 126.

Good to see Garcia wanting to get better. Nice bodyshot KO last weekend

If Gamboa could make 130, I would love to see Garcia vs Gamboa.

Gamboa has a great offense, but we all know is vulnerable and has been down before. Lets test the waters and see what the kid is really made of.

Salido, Juanma(albeit a faded version) and Rocky+capturing titles in 2 different weight classes? Mikey has a decent claim for fighter of the year.

Since Rocky put Mikey down I don't see why Gamboa couldn't.

Fight would have to be at 135 though. I think Gamboa wants the WBA title.
