Mora has always sounded receptive to fighting Golovkin while Geale has not. I really can't think of many Middleweights it could be, hope its not Soliman.
Maybe Geale saw something during the Stevens fight that leads him to think he has a shot.

Well somebody was actually pushing back against Golovkin, although it ended badly.
Plus, Shaw still has an option on Barker.... so backup plan

I thought he did after the Froch fight.... isn't he hunting for a trilogy too?

Max, he was up for macklin, but Mack didn't approve.

Bursak didn't like the short notice... less than a month

Or macklin didn't approve to fight a potential top 10 fighter?

Murray, come on. Sergio where you at? Mayweather, we'll come down to 154 for you... what's up? Andre Ward, stop the excuses... If you're fighting this prospect La Bomba, there is no reason for you not to face Triple G.
BoxingScene recently reported that Andre Ward is looking to land a big fight with Mexican superstar Julio Cesar Chavez Jr as he’s trying to get the biggest and best names in the ring. Ward has been stellar as he’s dominated a talented Super Middleweight division but he’s on the search of more opponents to put on his ledger as he’s already defeated most of the top names. While Ward is looking towards Chavez Jr’s direction, one name fight fans continuously bring up is Gennady Golovkin. Golovkin is coming off a monstrous knockout victory over Nobuhiro Ishida this past Saturday night as he knocked his Japanese opponent out cold in the 3rd round of their bout.

Let your hype job get wins against top 5 at 160 before talking about the best 168 pounder.

With his style, and eventual move up to 168, 4 years would be about what you'd expect. 35-36 is about the age that fighters just start going down. Very few have been able to fight past that age at the very top level in recent years, Mayweather is at the age right now, Hopkins has gone light years above 35, Marquez, Wlad, Vitali, Martinez. Rigondeaux may be able to pull it off when that time comes.

I would be impressed if Golovkin is beating top 3 opponents at 35. He hasn't even started doing that now and he is already 31.
