The promotion behind this fight is absolutely pathetic.

I don't even like Ward, but he has proved himself to be the best and deserves better than this.

He doesn't have a big fan base OR an exciting style. Only purists enjoy him which are the minority. He only has what? one KO in his last 6 fights? And it was against Dawson who had serious weight problems. He runs a bit, plays it safe... just boxes.

So it's understandable that there isn't much demand for him by the fans or networks. The only thing that's attractive about him is his 0.

he's a local fighter (grew up in worcester MA, a hilly place about an hour inland.) a rodriguez win would likely mean an exciting fight.

i predict that andre ward will win 10 or 11 rounds. maybe all 12. they are two different classes of fighter. rodriguez is going to try and box with ward and lose. he's going to find that he's eating the most leather when he tries to make a dogfight out of it, and will elect to box. ward's not going to be in a competitive fight on paper until he moves to 175.

Maybe with Kovalev. I don't see Adonis, B-Hop, or any other 175 seriously pressing him. Big Adonis fan, but Ward would smother his power and take him apart on the inside and to the body. Kovalev would have a good shot with his power and underrated skills.
