The criticisms on Mayweather and testing is that he took a significant amount of time off between fights and during his "retirement", which opens the door to PED use since he was not being testing at all. The other criticism is Mayweather's supposed testing deal with USADA. The details are very hush hush and when boxing writer Gabriel Montoya did some investigative reporting and found that Mayweather allegedly "tested positive 3 times", he was immediately attacked by Golden Boy's attorneys. Then a couple weeks later, Mayweather settled the defamation suit with Pacquiao. What Mayweather paid to Pacquiao was undisclosed.
