Going into this fight I have two things very clear: 1) It will be an epic war for as long as it lasts 2) Rios could face career damaging punishment because he will bring balls of steel and endure the storm to throw his bombs

This is going to be an amazing fight for those of us who not only love and appreciate Pac but for those who just love aggressive/violent/bloody fights. I am very excited about this one.

If Manny still has his legs and good lateral movement, he should win fairly easy. But if the legs are gone, this could be a very dangerous fight for him. Rios is not the type of guy you want to stand in front of after coming off a viscious KO loss.

        Bam bam got this?

Brandon rios needs to get respect from manny from the very first round with hard shots as soon as manny throws punches brandon needs to throw with him and cut the ring off not follow manny. Work the body from the start and don't give up the body work. And for god sake head movement and jab over the south paw jab even if he does not land it.

Pacquiao was more concerned with waving his hands around trying to keep his balance and thus left himself wide open.

Although Marquez (and everybody forgets this-of course) practiced how to step all over MannyP's foot and did it about 30 times in their previous fight, the chances of such a thing happening effectively again are very slight. And THIS is why Marquez meanly doesn't want to give him a return fight. We should all know by now that Marquez, even good fighter that he is, is a mean-spirited jealous natured guy.

Just one little point about their third fight; in confirmation of the foot stepping, look at the last round.... You'll see that Marquez placed his foot so firmly over Pacquiao's that when Pacquiao went backwards to try to get away from him, Marquez stepped with him for 3 paces with his foot still firmly on top of MannyP's. Disgustingly bad sportsmanship. But cunning. "Instep heeling" seems to have become almost a lost "art...", but if you read accounts of some of the older fights you'll often see it mentioned amongst common fouls. Most guys reading this post today don't even know what it means.

"TWISTED CHIMP" is a perfect name for you-VERY twisted. And I think "wudda, cudda, shudda" sounds more like you.
Excellent points here. I remember my Pop talking about that very thing with the foot stepping back in the 30s-50s fights. It isn't new, but yeah JMM is definitely a master of the foul.

Rios gets blown out in this fight, then Marquez should fight Manny and the winner gets a rematch with Bradley. Period.

On the other hand, Provo should get Danny Garcia next.
My theory is that JMM fans have the same mean spiritedness toward Manny that he has. But yeah, it's always funny to me when a Hail Mary actually lands, and the winner's fans go ballistic with the I Told You So's.

It would be an interesting subject as part of a documentary on the four Pac/JMM fights. Do a slo mo of the ending sequence, replay it like a half dozen times over and over... maybe then it would sink into these JMM fanboy's heads just how lucky of a punch that was.

I remember being taught the hard way about the "pinfoot punch" when I was around ten yrs old from an older kid throwin dux..it is effective if done perfectly.
But with boxers of this level, they know all about..tricks of the trade. This is what they "do"
Pac got wide open, and he got caught..part of the game

If you were trolling I could understand. But the fact that people like you actually exists makes me want to throw my phone against the wall.

pac take his loss as normal in a fight...he is positive and not finding excuses for it...and as i see it in his preparation for rios, pac is getting faster and stronger...that would send an alarm to rios..

i agree with mike, that a loss may have a psychological impact on a fighter depending on how he handle it...

Roid Marquez is scared to fight PAC man again. He's lost a majority of the rounds he fought in the last couple of years. He never initiates the action and looks like he's always fighting like a guy who is doing enough to keep his opponent off of him. Straight boring. Retire
