not really. that's called politics. trout was the wba champ. canelo was the wbc champ. canelo beat trout so he had the wba and wbc. then when he fought floyd floyd still had the wbc super champ belt or something ****** which is given to guys who don't fight in that division often but the wbc still wants money in case they come back.

Mosley was the WW Champion of the world (via Margartio via Cotto). Pac openly ducked "too good" Mosley.
Also, nobody predicted Baldo would win. Floyd was set to fight Judah and ended up fighting both. The number 1 and 3 at WW. Just because you don't like those guys doesn't take away the feat. IMO Judah beat Floyd those 4 rounds better than anyone I can remember of late too.
As for Cotto, Floyd knew his worth and Bob didn't want to pay him for it. Instead of paying up front for long term investment, Bob let Floyd go by not giving him the money he wanted. Not to mention Floyd made a lot more than $10 million years later when Cotto was a JMW title holder.
Yeah the Cotto and Margarito (let alone Pac) fights would have been great but its not a coincidence that (outside of PWILL), everyone Floyd supposedly ducked was with Top Rank.
Everyone makes up excuses about certain fighters if they are not Top Rank. However people want even talk about Bradley vs Mayweather. It's not because Floyd is supposedly scared but because they know it won't happen because of TR and even if it did they know Floyd would win. Its not that i rate Broner so high. Its because i rate Floyd so low. Floyd isn't that special...neither is Broner. But i feel Broner got more fight in him than Floyd. My point is...I can shove my hate aside. I dont base my opinion on just plain hate. If they fight...put your points up!Comment

Mosley was old, ortiz was a blatant cherry pick, DLH was past prime and on drugs, guerrero was a blatant cherry pick, jmm was made to move up two weight classes, hatton was made to move up one weight class, cotto fight happened after cotto was past prime, etc etc etcComment

Why do you guys even entertain this dude? All he cares about is face first fighters who "Give the fans excitement". He could careless about technically sound fighters. To say Floyd isn't anything special yet praise Pacman clearly shows his bias. Yea Floyd cherrypicks I agree, so does Pacman. Floyd fights fighters we all know he will beat down overs 12 rounds or are past it in some form, Pacman only looks good vs Fighters that come towards him with little head movement and horrible footwork so he doesn't have to cut off the ring at all. Look who he is fighting in a couple weeks. Hell if he learned to box instead of "Giving people like pacboy entertainment" he would have knocked marquez out in the 4th fight. Seriously, you guys still discussing this crap 4 years later. Give it up.
