Comments Thread For: DeGale Hopes To Land WBC Shot After Davis Win

JAMES DeGALE hopes a demolition job on American Dyah Davis will secure him a WBC world title shot next year. The 2008 Olympic gold medallist insists he is ready for a world title shot and has got fed up of waiting for the chance.

WBC super-middleweight champion Sakio Bika stopped Davis, 32, in ten rounds last year and Londoner DeGale is aiming to finish him off quicker in their clash at Bluewater, Kent, this Saturday.

DeGale is ranked at No.5 by the WBC and he reckons a good win over Davis will set up a crack at Australia-based Cameroonian Bika, who makes a first defence against Yank Anthony Dirrell on December 7.

He needs a better attitude and reality check. His skills are nothing spectacular and a domestic showdown against Eubank JR would really show him up if the latter moves up in weight.

This is the truth. How Hennessey has promoted him matches his ability, a fight with Eubank Jr would be good.

To be able to fight for a title he needs to fight someone in the top 10,

            someone like Abraham,Oosthuizen or Rodriguez

The winner of them fights can fight for a title

Eubank Jr is **** and DeGale would absolutely toy with him.

The WBC title will be Anthony Dirrell's on December 7th. Chavez will get his @ss beat by Dirrell plus its not a fact that Chavez can even make 168.
