Donaire Should Have Another Fight Before Rigo Rematch

Donaire fan here and would like to see see avenge his lost to his Daddy. But last night was a bad performance. I don't believed it has to do with his skills, it has to do more with confidence.

Should have another fight before Rigo, maybe against a rank 5-10 fighter

this was the donaire that has been around for awhile now, before rigo even

he loves to hold his gloves to his face just looking to turn over a monster ko punch, he needs to go back to his roots when he'd punch on the move, hopping uppercuts and his straight right etc

it seemed awkward for him to throw a long straight right in the darch fight(when he did 80% of the time was some crappy lead arm-punch), he's lost his loosesness, maybe too much strenght exercises not enough shadowboxing

Don't matter how many fights Donaire has, he can't beat Rigondeaux!

100 fights.... I don't want to see a rematch because I'd hate to see him lose like that again

I think Nonito should try and win some belts first, so that it makes more sense for Rigo to take the risk. Beat Walters and Gradyovich, then rematch Rigo @126. If Rigo wins, maybe Mikey could move back down for one fight (doubt it).

Donaire was quick, fleet footed, athletic fighter with exceptional power, as the HBO team kept reminding us last night but the problem with Donaire last night was that he came across as a flat footed slugger. That's not him, never has been.

What has gone wrong? Is it desire? Is it the coaching? Or is it that he is in a physical decline?

I personally believe it to be the latter, last night his reflexes were far too sluggish and his speed only half of what I've seen before.

I hope I;m wrong and Donaire can go back to being elite but I don't see it happening, this has happened to far too many fast fighters in the past.

What if he looses retires and spoils Rigo's check? No like the idea unless is another faded fighter or a tomato can. :P The only reason he called out Rigo is because he knows he is safe as long as he stays at 126 he knows Rigo has said for a long time even before there ever was a Donaire vs Rigo fight he was staying at 122 so Nonito is sure that is a deal breaker so he can saftely "say" he wants the fight without the risk of Rigo taking it or so he believes. If he was serious he is going to go back down or offer a catchweight fight the least but Top rank has to make an offer any offer not he just say he wants the fight.
