    Strike it ,while it's hot

There's been alot of buzz about Asian fighters lately(specifically Filipinos)thanks in due part to Manny Pacquaio who has opened a window of opportunity for his fellow countrymen, a chance to fight in the biggest market of them all.... U.S. of A, however I think the Asian & filipino fight managers, promoters, or anybody involved should proceed with the "long-term" in mind. Sending a wave of Asian fighters to test their mettle in America just for the sake of raking in quick money will only hurt us in the long run and put us back in square 1. They need to take their time in molding and training these fighters the right way. Don't just send anybody, send the best ones and make sure they're in tip-top form and the world will see what's been missin'.

I have personally scoped out 1-2 boxing gyms in Mexico(saw Margarito in one of 'em) and 1-2 gyms in the Phillippines. Let me tell you somethin' folks there's not much that seperates these two countries in terms of natural talent. The Mexicans advantages are... they've been exposed to alot more African-American fighters , American trainers and the Western style of boxing for a very long-time. The one biggest advantage that Hispanics have in general is their large population in America. For example A 'C'level Mexican fighter will get more exposure than an 'A' list Asian fighter. REMEMBER-> Promoters always look at the NUMBERS.

I think that C-class is too much. However, a B-class Mexican fighter who made it big was Bazooka Limón.

You maybe right "Exciterx23" about C-class being a bit stretched on my part, however it really is tougher for a top-tier Asian fighter to get that call from a big-time U.S. promoter, the fan base just isn't there. If the Asian guy is fighting some A-grade fighter but isn't latino, money is just not gonna come in. I mean I'll put it to you like this I prefer to watch Winky over Pac, for the simple fact that Wright is just so much more skilled than Pac but the casual fans don't wanna see that on top of that it's not their own kind.

I can understand part of your point. I am aware that several Asian fighters, who were good, are totally unknown. I know some of them and have seen their fights because I am a hardcore fan who looks for many fights. Yoko Gushiken, from Japan, is an unknown around here. Espinosa is more or less an unknown, as well as the Galaxy twins from Thailand.

The homework you just turned in is not good enough for you to graduate kindergarten. You are saying that Barrera and Morales belong on the same stage as those fighters I mentioned. You've gotta be kiddin' the world!
