Same guy. Donaire didn't look much different than he has in about any fight since Montiel. He just had a better foe than he had in guys like WV2 and Narvaez. Much better.
Agreed. Darchinyan is still underrated - his problem is being ****** and forgetting to box against some opponents, and he almost had Donaire outboxed this time but Nonito managed to catch him again. At 37 years of age, Darchinyan is still a beast.

But either way Donaire's power is for real. There aren't many guys that can punch like Donaire. Don't think hie record reflects the power he has. Darchinyan has only been stopped by Donaire so hes got a good chin.
I think that is the problem with boxer who develop their power as they go along, I have seen that with someone like Naz too, they abandon their boxing and just concentrate on landing one shot, which is enough most of the time but when they fight someone who turns them, box them on the move then they have a big problem. Like you pointed out Nonito needs to go back to his boxing and if the chance present itself then yeah go for the power punch and KO your opponent.

donaire has fallen a long way, he used to be real good on his feet, used to like a lead right that he leapt with etc

now it's this guy that just looks for a huge hook, which is nearly impossible to get unless his opponent falls into him, if you stick to long shots doanire basically can't touch you

same donaire that fought rigo fought darch here, and in retrospect, he changed ever since montiel, he's just a puncher now

Donaire needs to retire before he gets hurt. He clearly is no longer interested in fighting anymore. Whenever a fighter has one foot in the ring and the other 'God knows where,' bad news comes-a-knockin.'
