Comments Thread For: Jose Ramirez Drills Erick Perez Inside of One Round

Jose Ramirez scored his quickest win as a pro fighter to date, needing just 47 seconds to annihilate Erick Perez in their UniMas-televised main event Saturday evening in Lemoore, California.

It was left hook city for the 21-year old super prospect, teeing off on Perez to the tune of two knockdowns in the brief encounter. The second knockdown sent Perez under the ropes and nearly out of the ring, prompting an immediate stoppage.

Wow shocker....another overprotected fighter blows away a hapless, helpless, hopeless, .500 fighter in a gravy train setup. And the funny thing is people actually pay to see this sort of thing live.

So what exactly did Jose Ramirez learn in this fight? Olympian fighter are, in most cases, exceptional fighters who will at least reach continent title stage so why have them fight bums? Look at Rigo who became world champ in less than ten fights? Look at Lomachenko who is fighting for a world title in his second fight. If either of these guys had have signed with GBP, they would not be fighting for world titles until at least late teens/early twenties amount of fights when clearly with hindsight, their ability suggests they are capable of better.
