Matthysse was one of the most overrated boxers in history. He lost every time he fought somebody decent.

cOMPLETE BULL****! He only lost once and that was Garcia, other than that he was robbed. Most people dont know **** about boxing! Matthysse is a verry good, verry strong fighter but Garcia was just better. I hate it when good fighters like Matthysse are not respected anymore when they lose a fight!
They have a huge fan base but after they lose, most of the fans are gone and the fighter was always **** to begin with! Its verry sad!

Matthysse is just starting to earn decent money. Very unusual for any guy to walk away at that stage of his career. I think he could do with changing up his training camp though. As sweet as his life in Argentina sounds, working with a North American trainer who could bring something new to his offence would be a good idea.
