    Argenis Mendez, the IBF's super featherweight world champion, is in training for his next defense against the mandatory contender Rances Barthelemy of Cuba. Mendez is training with coach John David Jackson at the Iron Mike Productions gym in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

      JD Jackson is putting in that work he really has to be one of the busiest trainers, anyway Mendez will win this maybe even stop him.

        Damn..Mendez needs bigger fights! I hope he is able to put a boxing clinic on this guy. I would really like to see Mendez against Mikey Garcia next! That would be an amazing chess match! Bring it!

              I feel the same way. Barthelemy is nothing special...he resembles more a gatekeeper if you ask me. If Mendez looses to him at this stage in his career then I take back wanting to see him fight Garcia. But I don't see how Mendez looses this fight unless of course he decides to be very inactive between rounds and sometimes he does like to do.
