Singling out Golovkin in the title is some straight up troll bait.

Neither of Golovkin, Kovalev or Stevenson are as proven as Froch, Dawson or Kessler who he beat. And Edwin Rodriguez is just as good as those 3 guys being hyped.

They all have some buzz, nothing more. Neither of them have a killer resume. Stevenson has Dawson, very good win in very devastating fashion. That's about it. GG's best win is Macklin at 160. Kovalev's best win is Cleverly.

Ward is getting to that position where every single fighter with a buzz will be pushed as Ward's next nightmare. He'es basically fighting exactly who he's supposed to fight, Edwin Rodriguez. Especially how Rodriguez dispatched of Grachev in one round. This is the fight I want to see.

      Are you serious?

And you're saying Ward won't get credit for beating Golovkin, Kovalev or Stevenson due to their lack of resume? Do you also think that beating old, past prime champs with fantastic resumes is better then beating a young lion who hasn't had a chance to develop an ATG resume yet? I.e: Winky Wright is a better win for Quillin then Golovkin would be

So much wrong with this post IMO. Among other things, you're essentially saying Andre Ward will never have the opportunity to be P4P King because his 3 best possible future opponents are not as proven as his 3 best wins. Not sure if serious....

... And GGG is still waiting for a purse offer -- he would fight anytime...

Ward struggles to stay relevant... His Edwin Rodriguez fight is but a tune up, and everybody knows that. Anything else?

golovkins resume is piss poor right now. he's fighting in one of the weakest divisions in the entire sport. ward beats him it won't make him number one.........now if ward beats him & someone like stevenson/kovolav it will.

but golovkins resumes is too poor & the competition is too weak.

I don't even care for Ward-Golovkin tbh as much as I would rather see Ward-Kovalev/Stevenson but how would a victory against Golovkin be anything less then a fantastic win for Ward? What does resume have to do with it?

Does Donaire really have an ATG resume, if not, why is Rigo considered a P4P fighter then?

Didn't hear about Ward? He beat Kessler (back in 2009, remember?)... He beat great Allan Green, Sakio Bika, Arthur Abraham... He beat even Chad Dawson -- the guy Adonis KOd in less than a minute...
Ward has nothing to prove anymore against anybody.

Sounds like a duck to me

And Ward didn't clean out 168, he ducked Bute and fought everyone in his back yard

When this fight would likely happen-after Golovkin has beaten either Martinez or Froch-beating Golovkin would catapult Ward past Mayweather. And if he beat Kovalev or Stevenson after one of them had beat the other, that would as well.
