Why does HBO digital speed highlight videos of fighters?

I'm watching some highlight fights on HBO GO and it seems to me that they speed things up to make fighters look lighting fast.

Have you any actual reason to think this or are you just going off the eye test?
TBH if they were doing it, a much more logical reason would be to shave a few seconds off each to fit in with a time slot.

Perhaps the excitement of watching a fight live slows time relatively, so it seems like they're fighting more slowly live?

Just check when you see the round time in the bottom corner of the screen, see if the seconds run down at normal speed or faster. check it against a timer or your computer or phone's clock
