Where is Tua coming back to? If he ever somehow gets back to the Klitschkos before they retire, it will be reality.

I have no idea of what Tua has anymore. If the Monte Barrett fights are an indication, Tua is only serving in the role as an opponent. I hope he finds what he had 10 years ago and is brutal, but something tells me that is long gone.

If you had the problems Tua had during those Barrett fights, you might have been distracted as well.

Homelessness, divorce, financial ruin, yeah, those will distract you.

But he's over that now. And he's back in shape, finally. Even out of shape, he broke Barrett's jaw and almost knocked him out of the ring.

Tua will beat Ustinov, who has no guts. He's a quitter.

In Earl's scenario, you wouldn't lose money (a draw would result in a push)... I wouldn't bother doing it, but whatever...

Tua's problem against Barrett was speed, distance, and activity. He's not going to have too much trouble with Ustinov's speed, but if Ustinov controls the distance, maintains a decent workrate, and is durable enough to handle a good shot from Tua, this will be a rather clear decision for him if fairly scored. If Tua can press the fight, avoid Ustinov's shots, close the distance, and land his power shots with decent frequency, he'll be able to stop him, but at this point, the weight loss is Toney vs Lebvedev... Too little... too late...

Tua is NOWHERE NEAR the pitiful shape punch drunk, slurring James Toney is in. Tua is in fine health -- you'll see when Ustinov is stopped.

It doesn't matter if Tua is in good shape. He is still way past his prime and last time he fought a top 10 fighter was back in 2001 when he lost to Chris Byrd. Fres Oquendo is probably his best win in the last 13 years. A fight Tua was losing before stopping him.

I hope Tua can win this fight but I have a feeling that if Tua scores a KO victory his fanatics will start tons of threads about Tua is BACK and will make him the favorite to beat pretty much anyone out there.

i'd actually give tua a better shot to beat wladimir than some of these plodders. he's obviously beyond his best, but david tua is one of the hardest punchers ever. he also has a great chin. at least he's got a puncher's chance.

Well, power is the last thing a boxer loses. Tua can still punch so he would obviously have a puncher's chance. Even though the HW division is weak I just can't see this 40 year old version of Tua come up with some nice wins and get a title shot in 2014. I'm rooting for him against Ustinov but he will most likely lose this fight.
