Nathan Cleverly insists he had few doubts about fighting again despite losing his WBO light-heavyweight title in a crushing four-round loss to Sergey Kovalev in Cardiff in August.

Cleverly will return for the first time since his first career loss when he moves up to bid for the Commonwealth cruiserweight title against Australian Daniel Ammann in London on November 30.

Cleverly signed to fight the WBO Light Heavyweight Champion, Jurgen Braemer, but Braemer pulled out of the fight at the last minute. Amazing that Cleverly still gets stick for that.

I believed CLEV was not serious about moving up to cruiserweight,anyway the current world champions in this division are animals:
Wlodarczyk,Hernandez,Huck,Jones and Afolabi;a must step could be Lebedev now that took a terrible beating from Jones but i really don't see CLEV as the winner. Anyway i'm curious to watch Wlodarczyk vs the old but brave Fragomeni,perhaps Wlodarczyk is the one with less in the tank. I don't know if i think also at Chakhkiev i don't find a way how Clev can be world champion as cruiserweight. Good luck

He's saying all the right things but I'm dubious. He sounded at rock bottom only a couple of months ago, I'll be interested to see how he gets on over the next 12 months.

An alphabet champion in the truest sense gets KO'd in his first meaningful fight because he doesn't have the power to keep a natural LHW off him, and the best move is up in weight?! This reeks of desperation, admitting he's not good enough to campaign at his natural weight but too young to retire. I still think he could've been positioned into some decent fights at LHW, get active and get a few meaningful wins against well picked opponents and there are options out there for him. Whichever way the Bellew Vs Stevenson fight goes, a Bellew Vs Clev rematch would only potentially be bigger now and was a decent scrap last time.

Such a mis-guided move by Clev and Warren. Instead of making a big money, domestic showdown with Enzo Maccarinelli in wales he's taking a canyon leap up in weight, not being a particularly big LHW to begin with, to a division where his marshmallow fist punches are gonna do even less damage... Boi'z gonna get knocked out!
