Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer advised BoxingScene.com that Lamont Peterson's defense of the IBF junior welterweight title, against mandatory contender Dierry Jean, is going to take place in late January or February - depending on venue availability. A few days ago Golden Boy was the winner of the IBF's mandatory purse bid, placing down $156,000 for the rights.
