That's a pretty good offer they're giving Miguel. I think he should sit on it and wait to see what Top Rank cooks up for him in a counter offer because it might be better. It sounds like a pretty good offer though and a fight that I think a lot of people want to see, but purse is only one part of the deal. We still need to look at the weight, date, etc. I think Martinez is much too big for Cotto as well so Canelo makes more sense to me.

This is just the guranteed money but the problem is GBP is offering a 2 fight deal and very much cutting off Cotto's option after the 1st fight, If Cotto wins he cant just go and fight Martinez with Top Rank he must fight a GBP fighter so thats the only catch here. Still a lot of money and next year he could make 25 million in just 2 fights.

i like cotto but he will take a serious beating in one of those fights, but 10 million dollars makes the swelling go down a lot easier.
