Doesn't surprise me at all, booth is a slimey ba5tard and doesn't deserve 5hit cause he's not working with George any more and hasn't been for the last few months when the preparation for this fight has been taking place.
That's really snidey of Booth to do this literally just before the fight, it's adding salt in the wounds after dumping him by text. You were with him for years yet do all you can to scupper his biggest fight chances.
Groves is also an arrogant bugger, but Booth sueing for that much is a joke, he got rid of Groves not the other way round.

dfuq guys?
Booth is/was his manager he's entitled to his share. Booth put a lot of work into Groves and covered him financially earlier in his career and let's not forget, guided him towards this fight both as a trainer, a manager and as a promoter.
If there are legal obligations from Groves' side to fulfill his contract to Booth, why would Booth just let him go with 100.000? That would be idiotic.
Also, don't forget that Booth secured him this deal as the fight was signed by Booth as the manager.

But flicking through it appeared as though Booth is charging at 25%. I know he's manager and trainer but that's a very high %.
Further to that, he decided to stop training and managing Groves with immediate effect, ages ago, by text.
Why on earth should he get a full or even near full payment, when he's not been doing that job by his choice, for some time now? Trainers/Managers could just sack off fighters and do this all the time otherwise.

If Booth dumped Groves then he quit as being his manager so shouldn't be entitled to anything.
If it was Groves who dumped Booth then yeah he should pay which is why I said about contracts.

Neither of us know exactly what happened.
What we do know is Booth is still his manager which is why he deserves a purse. I don't know their contractual situation, but he deserves his cut for making the fight. Think he signed the fight as promoter as well, which means he also needs a cut for that. Matchroom are only co-promoting.
