Stephen Smith has been suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control, according to Boxing News online. The sanction will remain in place until Smith has resolved his contract dispute with former handler Frank Warren. Smith released a statement last month in which he declared that that his Boxer/Manager Agreement with Warren had been determined, a claim that was denied by Warren, and he swiftly signed a deal with Matchroom.

I know Warrens not the most liked promoter and Matchroom are now number 1 in Britain but why would he not want to fight and make history with his brothers?

He's a top fighter who will get at least a European belt but I dont understand this career move at this time and I wonder what his 2 brothers think who he would've made history with

Stephen should have just fought on the Frank Warren/Boxnation show with his brothers which he agreed to do with Warren and the BBBofC and then made his plans to move elsewhere why agree to do the fight and then randomly jump ship?

What was so bad about getting payed just before christmas to fight on a card with both of your brothers all 3 defending their british titles in your hometown of Liverpool? Pretty confusing .
