Comments Thread For: Charr Receives Encouraging Words From Klitschko

Irrepressible and charasmatic, WBC international silver champion Manuel Charr is turning out to be one of the ascending stars of the WBC Convention in ****kok Thailand. With movie star looks, a 6'4 inch frame with a corresponding toned physique and barely twenty nine, Charr is still a relative youngster in the heavyweight divison.

During the WBC'S Ratings Committee at their Convention in Thailand, he was moved up a couple of notches from number eight to six. Manuel cut his teeth as a kickboxer becoming a world champion, and then amateur boxing. In his pro boxing career He's won 15 of his 25 fights with KO's. His only defeat, which still rankles and he still disputes, came via a TKO cut loss in four rounds, to formidable WBC champion Vitali Klitschko in Moscow on September 8th 2012. A respectable and likable guy. Doing all he can to get that rematch with Vitali. What other boxer went and got all the useless WBC belts just to try ensure that rematch? That's dedication, and I respect that

I'm not sure he'll win at this point, far from it even. Just needs to keep getting better, good luck to the fella!

nothing special but he's keeping himself in the WBC picture with his regional belts... there are only top guys ahead of him now. he will get his chance to make his move in 2014. he should never have gotten a title shot when he did but he is trying to get himself in contention winning WBC trinkets. he is climbing the ladder the smart way.

Charr can`t fight and paid his last opponents to lose. Plus the guy has a brain as big as a peanut.

I watched the fight yesterday between charr & bakhtov. did you watch it? bakhtov hurt hand or wrist... after the fight was stopped charr walked over to denis & raised the hand he injured & bakhtov flinched in pain & didn't look to happy. there was no payoff... SMH
