Comments Thread For: Verdejo Staying Busy, Eyes Two More 2013 Ring Returns

In his most recent fight, blue chip Puerto Rican prospect Felix Verdejo (8-0) blew out Gary Eyer (11-4) in two rounds. The fight took place on October 5th on the Miguel Cotto-Delvin Rodriguez undercard in Orlando, Florida. Verdejo said that he was happy to have gotten the opportunity to fight on a Cotto undercard in front of thousands of his countrymen.

"I am very grateful to have had the opportunity. I am also grateful to have had the opportunity to have fought in Orlando. A lot of fans came out to see Miguel Cotto but they also came to see me which I am thankful for," Verdejo stated.

As much as dislike Arum he does a good job of building his fighters. And with Verdejo, Valdez, Lomachenko, and Berchelt there are gone great fights in the next few years if everything goes well.

I don't like it, that would make 9 fights this year. I'm entirely in favor of boxers staying active, but this is ridiculous. Am I the only one who thinks this could backfire on them?

In his seven fights this year, only one has gone six rounds. I don't see the problem with having so many fights.

On each and every fight he is learning and gathering experience. The has the talent just needs good management and a GREAT trainer....I really dont have any idea of the background of his trainer, if not watched carefully all we have to look at is what happened to to Juanma' Lopez and we dont want that for Felix!

                  War Verdejo!!!!
