    GGG options for 2014

Alright.... so let's list them out and see who's viable.

Just saw this, so Quillin is going to be a no go.

    Stephen Espinoza ‏@StephenEspinoza 4 Nov
HBO won't put Golden Boy fighters on air "@icerob5: Would you work w/HBO to make GGG v Quillin? Obviously the fight has to be on HBO..."

    Stephen Espinoza ‏@StephenEspinoza 4 Nov
Nope, assuming GG's a free agent "@PartiPants27: If K2 walked into @SHOsports to begin negotiations w@KIDCHOCOLATE - any issues?"

    So..... that leaves:

    Murray
    Martinez/Cotto winner
Pirog (if he's back and after a tune-up)
Koborov (if he actually gets a good fight in... hopefully Macklin/Nelson winner)
    Barker
    Geale
    Nielsen

Just hoping the four he fights next year are part of that list

If Cotto ends up fighting Canelo. I would like to see GGG fight Martinez or Pirog either one will do.

lol... screw Golden Boy and Quillen.

Espinoza making it clear that GGG would need to be uncontracted to K2 and HBO for this fight to even be plausible. Totally ruling out co-promotion.

My four would really any of the fighters you have listed with Martinez being the priority.

If he fights four times next year, he's bound to fight someone good so i'm not worried.

I think Murray on 2/1 is a safe bet. Fights #2 and 3 will probably be lower ranked contenders.

Martinez/Cotto would be in June so that pushes Sergio's return back to October/November/December. So he won't get Serg until fight #4.

Whether or not Cotto takes the Sergio fight I think is irrelevant because I don't think Sergio fights Golovkin as his first fight back. And besides, if Sergio doesn't fight Cotto he will probably defend against Rubio in Argentina first.

Those fights will most likely be on HBO though, so luckily we'll get GGG/Geale. I wonder if Vera would take the fight.

He won't pass up a title shot and an HBO date. Check this out:

                February: Martin Murray
                June: Brian Vera
                September: Andy Lee
December: Sergio Martinez or Darren Barker

That's a fighter of the year schedule right there.

Lee has a leg up due to having the same promoter as Martinez, but he'll have to step in the ring against someone decent soon.
