Promotional Feud

I would like this thread to be used in order to get information on promotional feud between Golden Boy and Top Rank. What benefits do these companies gain by having promotional feud in place? Surely, there is big money to gain from matching fighters from each promotional company against each other. Also, I believe this is a business model adopted from UFC model. How is this feud affecting the sport of boxing, is it killing the sport?

Personally, I think its disgusting to hear people say, "well, that fight can't happen cause of Golden Boy-Top Rank feud." This situation is ridiculous. What can we as fans do to put pressure on these companies to start doing business together?

Finally, I think the idea of having divisional rankings, even P4P rankings, is absurd, given promotional feud. What's the point of ranking these fighters if they are not going to compete against each other. It would be like ranking NFL with CFL.

both companies are big enough to hold plenty of their own in-house fights..it is what it is

What's even more sad is the fact that there are actually fanboys out there cheer leading one network/promoter and constantly trashing the others. Simple minded people I guess.
