I was a shocked to see the haters take shots at Floyd even after he took Alvarez to school.

Let's take a look at the haters excuses over the years.

When FMJ beat JMM:Marquez was too small.
When FMJ beat Ortiz:Ortiz was damaged goods after the Maidana fight

Gatti = Definition of shopworn, went through the three most brutal bloodbaths in boxing history.

DLH = Past prime and I still think the fight was a draw, Pacquiao destroyed DLH.

Cotto = Shopworn, Pacquiao's leftovers indeed.

Guerrero = Blown up lightweight, only had two fights at welterweight, and he's not really that good.

Ortiz = Cheap punched his way out of what would have probably been his first loss, he will duck that rematch.

Canelo = Green and weight drained.

How much more credit does he need? He is the highest paid athlete in the world...not just in boxing but athlete! He is regarded as Pound for pound the best. What more do you want?

I haven't always had the highest regard for some things Floyd has done but I praised him in no less than 20 messages after what I called a masterful performance over Canelo. And so did Junior Gong.

That is giving credit where credit is due. But if someone does not like him cumulative from his outside the ring escapades, his negotiating style, or his in the ring style, or some misinformation about him, I don't think those people are going to just change overnight no matter what he does. But the aggregated numbers of people recognize his skills and place in Boxing even when they have a "But" in the assessment.

I'll call him a top 40 P4P all-time great, which is a remarkable achievement if you're not looking at him with nut-hugging binoculars.

He's beaten one ATG and a lot of other solid fighters, but if you can't name at least 25-30 fighters throughout history that have accomplished more than him, you're either just a ***** or you don't know boxing.
