no one even knows where Ortiz is. gb keeps tryna push this dude in our face like he's relevant, he's the new Shane Mosley (without the legacy).

ortiz is among the most overrated fighters of his generation.

im so sick of ppl saying **** like "he just needs to get his mental game together and he will.." like thats something you just do overnight. in reality your mentl game is perhaps the hardest thing to improve, especially at this point.

once a fighter finds an excuse in his mind to quit it generally takes less and less for it to happen again. ortiz already quit three times as a pro and he did it several times as an amateur as well. think about that for a second, the man only has one impressive win yet he quit three times. that right there tells you what caliber of fighter we are talking about.

the chances of him toughening up mentally are slim to say the least as well, he had his moment against berto when he became world champion and he made some good money in his career. i think he is pleased with his career, not saying he doesnt want more but i dont see him paying the price to get it. in all honesty i cant even imagine it at this stage.

even if he did he has so many flaws to improve upon its still unlikely that he can make something happen. mainstream fans get so hung up on speed and power they forget thats a very small part of what makes a complete fighter. ortiz is chinny, fights in spurts, cant fight backing up, mentally weak, lacks defense and has overall quite poor technical skills at the top level.

canelo, lara, martirosyan, cotto and trout all dismantle him. i wouldnt be surprised if molina, ishe smith, willie nelson and the charlo brothers beat him too. thats just at 154 and not including guys i consider primarily WWs or MWs who could move up/down and whupp his ass too.

im not hating on ortiz, i just see so many flaws in him and tbh i dont understand how ppl can still pretend they arent there at this point or that they are just little things he can get past easily.

22 year old gets thrown to the lions with a beast like Maidana, the p4p hardest puncher and gets nothing but hate when he loses. Hate on sucker, Ortiz just has a mind for the future. He's not in his prime yet and you're all counting him out, just like everyone on here says Canelo is a hypejob because he lost to the best fighter on the planet despite him only being 23...

Victor Ortiz will quit again at the first sign of adversity. He just doesn't have the toughness it takes to be a boxer.

Ortiz knows nothing but adversity, he made it out of the struggle so his boxing struggle is nothing, he will overcome these mental roadblocks and expose these hypejobs like he exposed Berto.
