Comments Thread For: Photo: Oleg Maskaev, Danny Williams Ready To Battle

The weights are in for Monday's battle at the Basket Hall in Krasnodar, Russia. In the main event, former WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev (38-7, 28KOs) continues his comeback at 44-years-old, as he faces the badly faded 40-year-old Danny Williams (44-18, 33KOs), who steps in as a late replacement after original opponent Corey Sanders was unable to enter to secure a travel visa in time. Maskaev weighed in at 111.8 kilograms (246.4-pounds), while Williams was 124.5 kilos (274.4-pounds). [Click Here To Read More]

What a joke of a fight.

I do wish that Vitali would come back and give Oleg a shot just to annihilate him for saying he knocked him out in the amatuers.

Hard to think of a worse fight this year....if someone who knows Danny just happens to come onto this board and reads this thread; tell him to stop or burn his passport. It was embarassing four years ago and now it is getting bloody dangerous for Danny.

Maskaev is apparently serious about his comeback. But man he's just a slow dinosaur.

God, that looks deplorable. Who would pay to see this?

It's time for Danny to park the battle bus I think. His punch resistance is really bad now, though hopefully he gets a W here.
