I know that, but he is one weight class away, doesnt have any probs making weight at mw, and there is a rather obvious massive mega money fight there.

You could see it in his reluctance to throw to the body. Golovkin usually comes out ripping the left hook when he has a guy on the ropes, but he didn't want to against Stevens to start. From about the 5th on, when Golovkin picked it up, it as an easy fight and he beat the hell out out of Stevens.
