Theater, Madison Square Garden, New York City - In a heavyweight war for ten rounds between two undefeated contenders, Cuba's Mike Perez (20-0, 12Kos) won a unanimous decision over Russian puncher Magomed Abdusalamov (18-1, 18KOs). Best heavy weight fight I've seen in a long time. Both Perez and Magomed are winners in my book.

its hardly a 'shock' if its relatively even odds wise going into the fight, a shock would be thwompson price first fight.

I don't get the headline of a shock if the guy schools him...a shock is a big underdog or a lucky punch

I agree with the fellow posters, Perez was a minute underdog and was even money to win at some bookmakers. No one was really shocked.

Tony Bellew tweeted there's a rumour Magomed is in a coma.

            Hope it's not true.
