while it's true that Stevens has nothing to be ashamed of, he was totally outclassed by a superior fighter -- will be tough for him to come back as a top tier guy -- would have been different if he was competitive in there but really we only saw that in infrequent spurts -- GGG did what all elite fighters do; expose would-be contenders as pretenders....

Stevens looked to land counter shots, that's what he was banking on, so he couldn't loosen up to create openings because he was consistently getting beaten to the punch, especially the jab. I think he gave a really good account of himself and as he said he has nothing to be ashamed of.

He was banking on the "let me sit here on the ropes and hope the right one lands" strategy. After realizing the strategy didnt work, he instead just put his gloves up more and threw less. This guy has hammers for, im sure he could of attempted an attack on golovkin, who was in his face all night long

He didnt get stopped as fast as people thought, but he never tried to win

I like 3G but people on this site need to stop riding his ****. First half of you said stevens wasn't going to do anything and half you get mad and say guys like ward and rigo are boring they need to talk more and sell the fight. Stevens talked **** and tried what more do you want. He had 3G wobbled a few times despite what G says and backing up, if he wasn't hurt from the 2nd it could have been more fire works. And this GGG carried him crap is bs, he said himself he fought cautiously because he respected his power. Sounds like a guy who was smart enough to wait for the kill and not get reckless and get ktfo himself not someone carrying a guy. Carrying a guy and punishing him for disrespecting him looks more like Ali vs Ernie Terrel

Alot of boxers talk sht. Some way worse like floyd broner and mayorga. Its part of the game. Had he talk sht about his family or something i would understand the hate

Yeah a lot of them do but they have to understand it looks worse on them when they get they're asses beat after talking all that **** and disrespecting their opponent. Its one thing to be confident of winning, if you're not you shouldn't be fighting but when you act like an ******* and then get beat up it looks good on them.
