At one point it did look to me like Golovkin was allowing Stevens to connect. It's like Golovkin mentally gave in and his hands were down and I didn't know what the heck was happening. It looked like he wanted to show Stevens that he can take his punishment and wanted something back from Stevens because before that point, Stevens was completely giving up and wasn't throwing anything. Golovkin wanted to give the fans an exciting fight and Stevens wasn't delivering on his end.

Think so, After getting dropped Stevens went into a shell used the next round to get his legs back and clear his head. After that he threw sparingly so I wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to draw him into fighting and throwing more
