Golovkin-Murray likely next Feb 1st at Monte Carlo

One of the top 10 fights i've been asking for since Murray seemingly beat Martinez.

People are hellbent on GGG vs Martinez or Quillen, but this is the fight to make right here. Murray should be Ring champ. This is gonna be a good fight, similar height and reach with Murray having the slight advantage in both, and Murray having the better fights (Martinez, Sturm), and of course that style that Murray has will give Golovkin his first 12 round fight of his career.

I think Murray will win this fight, GG showed he does not know how to react to a 5'7" lower ranked MW with a high guard, he will find it much harder against the taller and more accurate Murray.

I'm taking points bets.

With Quillin and Ward ducking like the plague there's nothing. I doubt Martinez wants to fight Triple G.

why you say that? ouma lost to vanes and rosado before he even got to ggg. Martin is def a step up considering he arguably beat sergio

Ouma was shot when Golovkin got to him (he'd lost 5 of his last 7). To this day Macklin, Rosado, Stevens, and Proksa are his best opponents (possibly in that order).

I think Murray might become the best opponent in his resume if the fight happens. Murray has a good turtle shell defense, good stamina, good chin, and is pretty big for the weight class. It will be interesting to see if GGG can stop him, but I don't think Murray can win a decision because he'll probably be shelling up for most of the fight (like he did w/Sergio but worse).
