One of the top 10 fights i've been asking for since Murray seemingly beat Martinez.

People are hellbent on GGG vs Martinez or Quillen, but this is the fight to make right here. Murray should be Ring champ. This is gonna be a good fight, similar height and reach with Murray having the slight advantage in both, and Murray having the better fights (Martinez, Sturm), and of course that style that Murray has will give Golovkin his first 12 round fight of his career.

I think Murray will win this fight, GG showed he does not know how to react to a 5'7" lower ranked MW with a high guard, he will find it much harder against the taller and more accurate Murray.

    I'm taking points bets.

Disagree. I thought Murray lost be a few points to Sturm while Macklin won by a few. I don't see much to consider Murray a massive step up.

I don't see why people are assuming taller= more difficult. When a guy is as short as Stevens is and fights small, it can be very difficult to deal with and the target isn't a big.

Macklin had been stopped and hurt multiple times before fighting GGG. Murray hasn't really been close to being stopped yet making a GGG KO much more impressive.

Trust me I've seen pretty much all of their fights since they debuted.

Sure, a KO would be more impressive against Murray (though he was hurt by Sturm and Martinez) but that doesn't make him a 'massive' step up.

I've watched each of them fight many times as well.

Golovkin gets more body to hit. Also less power/speed to respect

Murray gets beat up really bad.

Agreed, as far as I'm concerned this will be for the real lineal middleweight championship.

Murray being taller means there's more body to hit for GGG. And also he's not a fast explosive counter puncher like Stevens so GGG won't give him as much respect.

                  Taller+defensive style=More difficult.

Ward, Murray, Froch, Kessler.....their styles in relation to their height and size is important to bring up, because it IS an advantage.

Should Wlad's height and reach in relation to his style, be discounted when predicting fights?

WHY is taller more difficult? GGG has a larger target and is more used to fighting guys Murray's height than guys who would be short even at lightweight. Murray doesn't fight tall anyway.
