Comments Thread For: Bradley's Trainer: Marquez Would Be Easier in Rematch

Joel Diaz, the trainer of WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (31-0, 12KOs), said their team has no problem with having a rematch with former four division world chmapion Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7-1, 40KOs). On October 12th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Bradley won a twelve round split decision over Marquez.

After the match, Marquez and his trainer Nacho Beristain felt they were robbed and demanded a rematch.

This just isn't a good stylistic match up for Marquez. When Marquez has to be the aggressor for most of the fight, he just isn't as effective as when his opponent is being the aggressor. He's a counter puncher.

Bradley would mess JMM up in a rematch. He would throw twice as many jabs and land that counter right with alarming consistency.

He has fought him 4 times now so he has picked up things about his style which is what he and Nacho think would happen with Bradley but Bradley can offer multiple styles and present them at any time.

Bradley at this stage: too young, too skilled, too good!

Bradley would beat Marquez again and again. I don't see the point of him rematching Pacquiao again unless he makes it exciting and I thought he did lose to him in a very close match.
He need to move on bigger thing like Mayweather and taking on the rest of other welterweights such Keith Thurman, the upcoming Danny Garcia, Ortiz, Guerro and you know what? I think he beats them all.
Bradley is slick and he got a great chin and ring IQ. Those qualities you cannot see as a casual fan.
He and Provodnikov together produced FOTY.

Well there's really no demand for a rematch. Bradley won fairly convincingly and it wasn't incredibly exciting.
