  • Comments Thread For: Towers vs. Browne Early Results From Hull

Curtis Woodhouse scored a convincing points victory over Lewis Van Poetsch in Hull on Saturday night. Having been heavily knocked out in just four rounds by Derry Matthews in their lightweight bout just six weeks ago, Woodhouse wanted to make a statement back fighting at welterweight. He was given a 59-54 verdict by the referee to get his title hopes back on track.

Earlier, Rendall Munroe comfortably came through his six-round contest against journeyman Latvian Pavel Senkovs, clinching a regulation 60-55 over Senkovs.

I didn't know these two fighting right now are featherweights, they look like middleweights.

      God Towers stinks.

Awful - I hope he retires.

Towers and Browne are cool guys... I was pulling for Towers, but after seeing the Tony fight, I knew he just wasn't going to be able to defeat Browne. David Price would have a difficult time fighting against Browne.

lucas browne is the perfect fight for david price. he is an easy target & slow as a turtle. he has power but nothing else. price was blowing out journeymen & domestic rivals before the 2 losses to Thompson & I don't see browne as too big a threat. he is C level... price is still B level in my opinion. I want to see this fight. there are some solid journeymen heavyweights in the commonwealth title picture. it's a perfect scene for booth to try & help david price. he could fight 2 or 3 guys on the commonwealth scene in 2014 before making a run again in 2015 if he is successful... lucas browne reminds me of lance "goofy or mount" whitaker...

              I agree.

If he can't beat Browne he really should call it a day.
